The Indonesian government, via the Ministry of Health, continues to push for the development of hospital services and capacity to enhance public accessibility to healthcare facilities.

The General Chair of the Indonesian Private Hospital Association (ARSII), Iing Ichsan Hanafi, stated that efforts towards hospital improvement and transformation are ongoing, involving increases in both the number of hospitals and bed capacity. However, the growth of these healthcare facilities still requires efforts to boost hospital productivity, specifically regarding maintaining bed occupancy rates above 70% and optimising the utilisation of medical equipment.
