Rows of fragrance bottles are neatly arranged in a shopping mall atrium in Jakarta. Occasionally, visitors spray the fragrance liquid onto test paper or blotters, then wave them gently to recognise the resulting aroma.

This activity is part of Secret Garden Parascentalia: The Scentuitive Journey, held from 17 to 30 August 2026 at Laguna Atrium, Central Park Mall, Jakarta. The event invites visitors to explore various aromas through a sensory experience and choose fragrances based on their individual preferences.

“This is a journey or intuitive experience for everyone to explore, choose, or feel various kinds of aromas, by letting their instincts guide them to find the aroma that best suits their personality or emotions at that moment,” said Secret Garden Group Brand Manager Dara Puspitasari in Jakarta on Friday (21/8).

Taking the title Parascentalia, it is a world where everything is related to aroma. Embracing the philosophy of Manifestation of the Earth, Secret Garden Parascentalia is a masterpiece in the form of aromas produced by the earth through a long process.

Each aroma is presented as a fragment that carries a meaning greater than its form alone. Through aroma, Secret Garden Parascentalia brings each individual to discover a part of themselves that may never have been revealed before.

The sensory experience journey begins at The Atmospheric Space, where visitors can experience the aroma, supported by sounds that describe a particular fragrance.

The journey continues to The Sensory Ritual, where visitors can directly experience Secret Garden products, from body lotion to body scrub, through a hand spa activity.

Then there is The Reflection Gallery, which offers a photography experience, including a glambot. The Scent Chamber activity and Shop Your Favorite Scent are also available.

Meanwhile, CEO of Natura Pesona Mandiri Billy Hartono Salim said that this event is held to further introduce local fragrance products to the wider public.

Amid the many foreign products emerging in the country, particularly in the wellness industry, it is important to take pride in local products.

“We do not want to be colonised by the idea that Indonesian products are inferior. We must be proud of local products. Who else will elevate them if not ourselves as the Indonesian nation,” he asserted.

He also claimed that Secret Garden’s quality meets standards equivalent to international products. This is proven by the very good market reception, not only from local visitors but also from international tourists visiting Bali.

The success of a local brand in penetrating the national and global markets does not happen in a vacuum. Rather, it requires strategic support from various parties, including the government.
