Exploring Collaboration Opportunities: Makassar Deputy Mayor Welcomes Swiss Ambassador

The Deputy Mayor of Makassar, Aliyah Mustlyka Ilham, personally welcomed the Swiss Ambassador to Indonesia, Konstantin Obolensky, upon his arrival at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar on Tuesday (22/9).

Aliyah Mustika Ilham’s presence in the welcoming ceremony is part of the Makassar City Government’s efforts to build communication and closer relationships with the Swiss diplomatic representation.

She stated that every visit and meeting with international partners serves as an opportunity to introduce Makassar and open up wider spaces for communication and collaboration.

“We warmly welcome the presence of the Swiss Ambassador in Makassar. We hope this visit marks a good beginning to strengthen our relationship and open broader opportunities for collaboration in the future,” said Aliyah Mustika Ilham.

According to her, as one of the strategic cities in eastern Indonesia, Makassar continues to open itself to various forms of cooperation that can benefit the community and support the city’s progress.

The reception conducted by Aliyah Mustika Ilham demonstrates the City Government’s strong commitment to building networks and communication with international partners, aligning with Makassar’s position as a city that continues to strengthen global connectivity and cooperation.

To date, Indonesia maintains good relations with Switzerland, covering various fields including political dialogue, trade and investment, economic cooperation, education, science and innovation, sustainability, culture, and tourism.
