Expired Driving Licences Must Be Replaced: Jakarta Mobile SIM Locations and Cost Details

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya) has reopened mobile driving licence (SIM) services at five locations across Jakarta on Wednesday (2/9/2026). This facility is provided to facilitate the process for the public to extend the validity of their legal driving documents.

According to official information from the @tmcpoldametro Instagram account, these mobile renewal outlets operate from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB.

This mobile SIM service specifically serves the renewal of SIM A and SIM C holders whose licences are still active. For driving licences that have expired, even if delayed by only one day, owners are required to apply for a new licence at the Satpas (Driver’s Licence Office) designated by the police.

Before visiting the service locations, applicants are advised to prepare the following administrative requirements: original KTP (National ID) and SIM, along with photocopies, application forms, and undergoing health and psychological tests at the service site.

In accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 regarding the Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the National Police, the official tariff for SIM A renewal is set at Rp80,000, while for SIM C it is Rp75,000.

In addition to these PNBP tariffs, applicants are also subject to additional costs for psychological and health examinations as stipulated by the Simpel Pol application.
