Experts to discuss RI's social history

JAKARTA (JP): University of Indonesia in cooperation with the Center for Asian Studies Amsterdam will hold a four-day seminar on Indonesian social history, starting Monday.

The seminar is to be held at the university's Depok campus, south of the city, and Erasmus Language Center in South Jakarta.

Dutch Ambassador Paul R. Brouwer and the university's rector, M.K. Tadjudin, are scheduled to open the seminar.

The speakers will include H. Sutherland, R.Z. Leirissa and C. Fassuer from the Netherlands and Susanto Zuhdi, M. Gade Ismail and Taufik Abdullah from Indonesia.

An excursion is scheduled to be held Wednesday to Banten in West Java. (jun)
