REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – An expert presented at the trial for the alleged Chromebook corruption case, Dedy Nurmawan Susilo, stated that the state losses calculated by his team amounted to Rp1.56 trillion and occurred over three years, namely 2020, 2021, and 2022. Dedy, an auditor from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), explained that these state losses represented the total overpricing in the procurement of Chromebook laptops. “Meanwhile, for Chrome Device Management (CDM), BPKP only calculated the margin difference,” Dedy said while giving testimony at the expert examination hearing at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court on Monday (13/4/2026). He detailed that the state losses in question included Rp127.9 billion in 2020; Rp544.59 billion in 2021; and Rp895.3 billion in 2022. He stated that more detailed information regarding these losses is contained in the BPKP audit report. Dedy provided testimony as an expert at the trial for the alleged corruption case involving the education digitalisation programme in the form of procurement of Chromebook laptops and CDM within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) from 2019 to 2022, which implicates Nadiem Anwar Makarim as a defendant.
