Expert Panel Selects Recipients of the 2026 DPD RI Awards
The expert panel held its final meeting to select recipients of the 2026 DPD RI Awards. The meeting, which lasted more than four hours, was dynamic, with members taking care to identify the region’s most deserving figures.
The meeting took place at Ayana Midplaza Jakarta on Monday (26 October 2026). During the four-hour session, candidates appeared and were interviewed virtually by the DPD Awards 2026 expert panel.
Those attending in person included National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) head Prof. Dr Arif Satria, S.P., M.Si; Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Commission II Dr Dede Yusuf Macan Effendi, S.T., M.I.Pol; DPD RI member Dr Agustin Teras Narang, S.H.; and University of Indonesia (UI) Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences professor Prof. Dr rer. nat. Agustino Zulys, S.Si., M.Sc. Expert panel member and Culture Minister Prof. (Hon) Dr H. Fadli Zon, S.S., M.Sc., also contributed his views to the discussion.
The panel selected recipients in four categories: innovator in non-formal or out-of-school education; health technology innovator; regional cultural preservationist; and village food self-sufficiency pioneer.
