Experience Riding Royaltrans Blok M-Cibubur, Now Seat Booking is Mandatory

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Royaltrans bus service now has a new ticketing system, namely mandatory seat booking or seat reservation. Bookings can only be made through the TJ:Transjakarta app. Seats can even be reserved up to seven days before departure. Royaltrans itself is a premium bus service from Transjakarta aimed at residents of Jakarta and its surroundings. This time, I directly tried the journey from Blok M to Cibubur. Because it uses a booking system, passengers must select available departure schedules in the app. After selecting, passengers will be directed to pay via non-cash transactions. However, whereas morning departures were usually only from the Cibubur direction, with the booking system, buses from Blok M Terminal now also serve morning departures. Departure is at 08:15 WIB from Blok M Terminal. Meanwhile, the ticket was booked one day in advance on the app ahead of departure. However, the bus only arrived at Blok M Terminal at 08:26 WIB. Before boarding, passengers must first check the bus chassis number matching the one on the ticket. Unlike Transjakarta buses, this purple-liveried bus offers premium services for passengers. This bus comes in a medium bus size with a low-deck model. There are 30 passenger seats, each equipped with a USB charger, cup holder, and armrest. For greater passenger comfort, the seat backrests can also be adjusted independently.
