Expensive Japanese spare-parts
Expensive Japanese spare-parts
From Kompas
About two years ago I bought a Sharp automatic washing machine
and in March 2003 it broke down. I sent it to the Sharp service
center in Makassar, South Sulawesi, but they were unable to fix
it.
Finally, I wrote to the Jakarta service center and was
notified that the machine's spare-parts had to be imported from
Japan at the price of Rp 829,000, plus a Rp 400,000 delivery fee,
making the total Rp 1,229,000.
As a customer I expected a reasonable price and requested a
discount of around 25 percent, which was rejected. The company's
management in Indonesia should serve customers better to avoid
disappointment.
