PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, through PT Pertamina Retail, is collaborating with PT Sampoerna Retail Community Indonesia Sembilan (SRCIS) to expand energy access for the public by inaugurating a Bright Gas Outlet at an SRC store.

This was marked by the opening of the Bright Gas SRC Outlet on Thursday (7 May) at SRC YD Makmur Jaya in Bandung. The inauguration serves as a tangible implementation of the Bright Gas distribution partnership through the SRC store network spread across various regions in Indonesia.

Eko Ricky Susanto, Director of Retail Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated that this collaboration is part of efforts to develop the Bright Gas distribution network while strengthening the role of UMKM in providing closer and more accessible energy to the public.

Eko Ricky added that Pertamina Patra Niaga views SRCIS as a strategic partner with a wide network close to communities. “This Bright Gas Outlet is one form of synergy and collaboration between Pertamina Patra Niaga and SRC. We want to develop this Bright Gas outlet more broadly; SRC sells all products related to public needs,” said Eko Ricky.

Eko explained that this partnership is an initial step to expand the Bright Gas outlet network through SRC stores in various regions of Indonesia. In the initial implementation phase, the programme covers five SRC outlets actively selling Bright Gas Family products (Bright Gas 5.5kg, Bright Gas 12kg, and Bright Gas Can 220g). Greater Bandung has been designated as the pilot project area with a target of developing up to 50 outlets, and nationally, the programme is targeted to reach up to 1,500 outlets across Indonesia.

“Pertamina Patra Niaga hopes that with SRC, it will create a new relationship and further expand the Bright Gas Outlet network, not only in Bandung as one of the pilots, but also in other cities,” explained Eko Ricky.

Meanwhile, Romulus Sutanto, President Director of PT SRCIS, stated that this cross-sector collaboration is a tangible form of support for the government’s programme to expand and equalise energy access for the public. The SRC store network, which is widespread and directly engages with community groups, can serve as an extension of services to provide closer and more inclusive energy access.
