Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) continues to strengthen its digital banking business expansion by broadening synergies within the education sector. This strategic move was realised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the implementation of the ‘BTN Goes to Campus 2026’ programme, held at the University of Lampung (Unila), Bandar Lampung, on Thursday (17/9).

This partnership is designed as a solid business foundation to optimise economic potential and digitalise the ecosystem within the campus environment. Through this cooperation, BTN aims to strengthen its captive market and expand the penetration of digital banking products and services to thousands of members of the Unila academic community.

The series of business and social activities also included the distribution of BTN’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) in the form of educational scholarship assistance for Unila students. The handover was conducted directly by BTN’s Director of Commercial Banking, Hermita, and was received by the Rector of the University of Lampung, Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, D.E.A., IPM., ASEAN Eng., along with Unila’s senior leadership.

As part of the strategy for education and the introduction of financial solutions, Hermita also delivered a Public Lecture titled “Transformational Leadership to Drive Innovation in the Banking Industry”. Addressing the students, Hermita explained how corporate transformation is the key to BTN’s success in shifting from a conventional business model towards a customer-centric digital banking era.

“BTN’s journey, from being a pioneer in Home Ownership Loans (KPR) to now presenting the Balé by BTN super app and accelerating the BTN Digital Store, is clear evidence of business expansion driven by the transformation of vision and work culture. We want to bring these values of innovation to the younger generation of Unila as part of our strategy to build a long-term digital ecosystem,” said Hermita.

Furthermore, Hermita emphasised that the acceleration of digital services—such as transaction efficiency through the super app and the optimisation of the Digital Store—must be supported by adaptive and visionary leadership. Transformative leadership is viewed as the primary driver to create an innovative mindset within the organisation while ensuring business sustainability amidst intense competition in the modern industry.

Through this synergy, BTN is optimistic that it can continue to strengthen market penetration in the youth and educational institution segments, while providing integrated banking solutions that offer real added value for the company’s future business growth.
