Jakarta (ANTARA) – Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar urged the development of the Pasar 1.001 Malam model as a means to broaden market access for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This ecosystem connects business actors, capital owners and large industries to continually synergise in advancing the national economy. “All of this is needed, especially in a world economy that is unpredictable; we must stand on our own two feet,” Muhaimin said at the closing of the Festival Jejak Jajanan Nusantara at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Jakarta on Sunday. He explained that Jejak Jajanan Nusantara (JJN) is part of a pilot project to strengthen the ecosystem for empowering the community’s economy. Consequently, he called for the utilisation of public facilities, particularly strategic locations, so that MSMEs can develop their businesses and broaden their markets. He also expressed appreciation to the management of GBK and local government for supporting the Festival JJN as a space for promoting and developing MSME ventures. He praised the 64 participating entrepreneurs in the Festival JJN, especially women MSME operators who have long served as the family’s breadwinners. By the end of the event, total transactions reached around Rp300 million, nearly ten times higher than the same activity the previous year. Through the development of the Pasar 1.001 Malam model, the Minister hopes that cooperation among business people, the government and various stakeholders can be strengthened so that MSMEs can grow and become a driving force of the national economy. The Ministry plans to hold the inaugural Pasar 1.001 Malam at Masjid Baiturrahman, Aceh, on 11–13 March 2026.
