Exhumation of Sutrimo's Body Completed, Results Expected in 2-3 Weeks

The exhumation of Sutrimo’s body in Wlahar Village, Wangon District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, has been completed. Head of the Forensic Medical Team, Prof Ahmad Yudianto, stated that laboratory examinations are expected to take around two to three weeks.

Speaking at a press conference at the Banyumas Police Station, Ahmad explained that the lengthy process was due to the body having been buried for nearly three weeks, since 23 July. He noted that the advanced state of decomposition made visual identification difficult, as the colours and condition of the remains appeared largely uniform.

Consequently, detailed laboratory tests, including histopathology, toxicology, and DNA analysis, are required. Ahmad stressed that the forensic team would not issue any conclusions regarding the cause of death until all laboratory results are finalised.
