Serang — PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has announced the implementation of a single-fare pricing policy that equalises executive service with regular service on the Merak-Bakauheni crossing during the 2026 Eid holiday transport period.

“This policy applies to pedestrians and passenger vehicles to support smooth traffic distribution,” said ASDP Chief Executive Heru Widodo in Serang on Saturday.

At Merak Port, the scheme begins on 13 March at 12:00 Western Indonesia Time until 20 March 2026 at 15:00 WIB. From Bakauheni Port, it applies from 23 March at 00:00 WIB until 29 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB.

He explained that ship and berth placement during this period will be fully adjusted according to operational traffic management. Service users will no longer select services based on regular or express preferences, but rather will follow assigned schedules to maintain smooth traffic flow.

“The single-fare policy and discount stimulus aim to ensure the 2026 Eid migration is more orderly, affordable, and smooth. This is a collaborative step to ease the burden on the community,” said Heru.

In line with this policy, ASDP also provided official clarification regarding claims that ferry tickets are sold out for the 18-31 March 2026 period. Management emphasised that such information is false or misinformation.

Based on the latest system data, ticket quota availability for the period 11 March to 1 April 2026 still reaches 99.9 per cent, or equivalent to 2.42 million tickets for passengers and vehicles. The public is urged to make reservations independently through the Ferizy application and official website.

“We urge service users to obtain tickets before arriving at the port. Currently capacity is still very sufficient and monitored through our digital system,” he added.

Through implementation of the single-fare policy and strengthening of service systems, ASDP is confident that travel on this busiest crossing will proceed more fairly and comfortably for all service users.
