Exclusive: How LPS Guarantees Deposits and Maintains Financial Stability

Anggito Abimanyu, Chairman of the Commissioner Board of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), has outlined the institution’s vision and strategic initiatives under his leadership. He has emphasised a focus on maintaining financial system stability, strengthening the deposit guarantee function, and improving public financial literacy and education.

Anggito stated that the LPS continues to drive increased public confidence in banking through education about deposit guarantees of up to 2 billion rupiah per customer, prevention of fraudulent investments, strengthening cybersecurity, and efforts to expand financial inclusion so that the public actively holds and uses accounts safely.
