The Jogja Financial Festival 2026 will feature a different concept. Not only providing financial education, the event is also packaged with entertainment to make it more appealing, especially to the younger generation.

The festival, organised by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) in collaboration with Transmedia, will take place at Jogja Expo Center from 22-24 May 2026.

CEO of CT Corp, Chairul Tanjung, stated that the event’s concept was deliberately designed not to be monotonous. According to him, an activity pattern consisting only of seminars from morning to afternoon tends to be boring, especially for Generation Z.

“If people gather from morning to afternoon just listening to lectures, it can be boring, especially in the Gen Z era where things move quickly,” said Chairul Tanjung during a press conference at GIK on Friday (24/4/2026).

Therefore, the organisers are inserting entertainment between discussion sessions and education classes. This entertainment is expected to keep visitors engaged throughout the event.

Several entertainment programmes have been prepared, ranging from the presence of the TV programme Lapor Pak, a performance by comedian Kiky Saputri, to an interactive event concept with Surya Insomnia involving participants directly on site.

“You usually see Lapor Pak on TV, right? Well, here the hosts come directly. There’s even an additional player,” he said.

The festival also features a music concert with performances by Ari Lasso and Juicy Luicy, as well as stand-up comedy that is claimed to entertain visitors.

On the other hand, the core of the Jogja Financial Festival remains focused on education. LPS assesses that financial literacy in Indonesia is still limited, so this activity is hoped to enhance public understanding of financial management, both for individuals and businesses.

The event will be held offline, online, and broadcast on television. In this way, its benefits can be felt by the wider community, not only in Yogyakarta but also across Indonesia and abroad.

As part of the festival series, the Jogja Run D-City 2026 will also be held on 24 May 2026. Participants who purchase tickets for the run will also gain access to the Jogja Financial Festival area.

Through this combination of education and entertainment, the organisers hope that the public can learn about finance in a more enjoyable and easily understandable way.
