Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Frisian Flag Indonesia has won the Food Safety Excellence Awards 2026 in the category of Best Dairy Nutrition Company in Supporting Indonesian Families. The award was presented by Nani Hendiarti, Deputy for Coordination of Food Affordability and Security from the Coordinating Ministry for Food, to Fetti Fadliah, Corporate Communications Manager at PT Frisian Flag Indonesia, during the Food Summit 2026 held by CNBC Indonesia.

Frisian Flag has consistently brought global strength with a cooperative tradition of over 100 years to the Indonesian market. Cooperatives are one of Frisian Flag’s strategic partners in empowering farmers to produce high-quality fresh milk.

Since the 1990s, Frisian Flag has partnered with 14 dairy cattle farmer cooperatives. From these partnerships, Frisian Flag absorbs fresh milk from 20,000 dairy farmers every day. In its operations, Frisian Flag also implements sustainable business practices by considering the preservation of the earth so that it can continue to be enjoyed by future generations.

“Currently, the domestic fresh milk sufficiency rate is still around 20%. The rest we source from various places. Since the 1990s, we have been actively partnering to improve the upstream sector. We observe, we map, what are the challenges faced by smallholder dairy farmers. We provide assistance, partnerships, and there are several strategic and long-term partnerships,” explained Andrew Saputro, Corporate Affairs Director of PT Frisian Flag Indonesia, at the Bank Mega Tower Auditorium on Monday (27/4/2026).

In addition, Frisian Flag has established a centralised fresh milk collection system that can be monitored digitally. This collection serves as a step to shorten the supply chain from dairy farmers to cooperatives and to the industry while maintaining quality.

According to him, in promoting food security and resilience, Frisian Flag applies three key words: strengthen, maintain, and promote.

“Strengthen” means reinforcing the downstream side with all relevant parties. Once the downstream side is strong, it is then maintained through standards and regulations. Finally, “promote” through various programmes, one of which is collaboration and education.

“With that, we from the private sector can contribute well. Three words: together we strengthen, we maintain, and we promote collaboration and education because we believe that whatever vision and mission we carry out together, the benefits will be good if we consistently do it right,” emphasised Andrew.
