Excavation Project Causes Traffic Congestion on Pasar Rebo to Ranco Indah Route in East Jakarta

Traffic around Rindam, specifically on the Pasar Rebo to Ranco Indah route in East Jakarta, has been observed to be congested due to an excavation project.

“The traffic situation at the Rindam traffic point in East Jakarta, from Pasar Rebo towards Ranco Indah, is busy and tending towards congested due to a PDAM excavation project,” wrote the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Centre (TMC Polda Metro Jaya) via its official X account on Tuesday (24/2/2026).

Police have been stationed at the location to provide security and direct traffic. Photographs uploaded by TMC Polda Metro Jaya show vehicles densely packed around the site.

The excavation project occupies the middle lane and has been cordoned off with road barriers. Vehicles are still able to pass through, albeit with some delays approaching the site, though traffic returns to normal flow beyond the excavation area.
