JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A plot of land in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, which is currently the object of competing claims between the government and the heirs, has become a topic of public discussion. The land is located on Jalan Jembatan Tinggi, directly opposite Blok G of Pasar Tanah Abang. According to statements from the legal team of Gerakan Rakyat Indonesia Bersatu (GRIB) Jaya, authorised by the heirs to advocate for ownership of the land, the 34,690 square metre plot is being used as a parking area for operational vehicles of a private logistics company. Kompas.com observed the location and the activities of logistics vehicles on the land on Monday (13/4/2026). Around two trucks, three box vans, and more than four pickup trucks were seen entering and exiting the site while monitoring from Jalan Jembatan Tinggi. The land is situated behind a row of shophouses offering laundry and sewing services. In front of the land site, there is a signboard explaining the ownership of the land. “Notice: This land belongs to Soleman Effendi bin Ali Rachmat and Agustina bin Ali Rahmat as heirs of the late Iljas Gelar Radjo Mentari based on Indonesian verponding number 946 covering approximately 34,690 m².” Upon entering the location, there is a security post on the left side and a logistics office on the right next to the entrance. Entering the land area, more than 10 trucks were visible parked on site. The central part of the land was muddy with puddles of water following rain in Jakarta on Sunday (12/4/2026). There were more than five in a row of box vans, pickup trucks, and a line of MPV cars parked on the right and left sides of the land. According to several workers, the building serves as a storage facility for expedition logistics.
