Citizens who queued and participated in the open house at the Palace in Jakarta received gift packages. The contents of these packages consisted of basic necessities packages up to Eid allowance money (THR).

“Rice 5 kilograms, one tin of biscuits, one box of tea bags, two pouches of milk, one bottle of sweet soy sauce, one bottle of chilli sauce, 1 kilogram of granulated sugar and one large container of instant coffee,” said Dania (35) after attending the open house at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2026).

Dania said the package also contained food and Eid allowance money worth Rp 200,000. She said the package included an umbrella.

“Plus an umbrella and THR money of Rp 200,000. There is also food, Hokben, mineral water,” she stated.

Dania admitted to having queued in front of the State Secretariat Gate since 11:00 WIB. She was only able to enter the Palace after queuing for about 4.5 hours.

“Queued at half past 11:00 WIB. Got in at 15:30 WIB,” she said.

Furthermore, Dania admitted to joining the queue for the basic necessities at the Palace open house because she was accompanying a friend.

“Accompanying a friend, she wanted to queue for the basic necessities, asked me to come along. Well, I accompanied her, I was bored and had nothing to do anyway,” she said.

Previously, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta was held today starting from 12:00 WIB. Teddy mentioned that the open house capacity was up to 5,000 people.

“We open (the open house) after Zuhr prayer. Maybe at 12, 1 o’clock, please come. (The capacity) is about 5 thousand, maybe like last year. Of course, we prepare inside, if it doesn’t fit, outside is also prepared by the Junior Minister for State Secretariat, tents, then they take turns entering,” said Teddy during a visit in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday night (20/3/2026).

Teddy said the open house was open from afternoon until evening. He invited the public to attend the open house at the Palace with their families.

“Of course, it’s open from 12 maybe until Maghrib, taking turns for the public who might come with their families to stroll around for Eid al-Fitr, whether bringing one family or stopping by the Palace, you are welcome,” he continued.
