Examined for 10 Hours at the AGO, Former Jampidsus Febrie Not Detained
The lawyer for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah (FA), Hotman Paris Hutapea, stated that his client was not detained after being examined by the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) for approximately 10 hours. “Today he was questioned from nine o’clock until just now. There is no detention today,” he said during a press conference at the Jampidsus Building, Kejagung, Jakarta, Friday. Hotman said that Febrie was asked 18 questions by Kejagung investigators regarding his status as a suspect in alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) in the handling of the law by state officials in the PT Asabri case for the 2020-2024 period. The suspect status was previously determined by National Police investigators before the case handling was transferred to the Kejagung. “The 18 questions were answered well. Today was only limited to the PT Asabri case,” he said. He revealed that some of the questions asked by investigators included Febrie’s relationship with Tan Kian, a property entrepreneur, and the ownership of Febrie’s house in Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java.
