Examination of Green SM Taxi Party Regarding Train Collision in Bekasi Postponed to Tomorrow

The examination has been postponed until Tuesday, 5 May 2026, said Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto to reporters on Monday (4/5/2026). Budi stated that the examination of supervisory officers to signal and telecommunications officers has also been rescheduled. The examination will be held on Friday (8/5) forthcoming. Meanwhile, parties from the Bekasi City Road Infrastructure Agency, Bekasi City Public Works Agency, Bekasi City Spatial Planning Agency, and the Directorate General of Land Transportation have fulfilled the examination summons at Polda Metro Jaya today. The Green SM taxi driver was examined at Polres Metro Bekasi Kota. “They have already attended and are in the process of examination at Polres Metro Bekasi Kota, the taxi driver and the boom gate witnesses,” he said. “Together with the Forensic Laboratory, activities of documentation on objects related to this case are being carried out,” he added. This accident case has been elevated to the investigation stage after the discovery of criminal elements in the case review conducted. The police are still conducting a series of in-depth investigations. As is known, the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train crashed into a KRL at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27/4) night. The incident caused 16 people to die and 90 others to be injured. At the time of the accident, the Green SM taxi was once stopped in the middle of the railway tracks not far from Bekasi Timur Station due to a short circuit problem, then hit by a KRL travelling from Cikarang towards Jakarta. The KRL involved in the accident with the taxi then stopped in the middle of the tracks. On the other hand, there was a KRL heading to Cikarang that stopped at Bekasi Timur Station as a result of the incident between the KRL heading to Jakarta and the Green SM taxi. It was this KRL stopped at Bekasi Timur Station that was then hit by the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train travelling from Jakarta.
