Ex-Telkom men want higher pension fee
BOGOR (JP): About 230 members of PT Telkom Pension Fund
Foundation in Bogor have staged complaints over a fierce gap
between their pension fee and the exclusive facilities allegedly
received by foundation executives.
Reports collected by foundation members stated that Telkom, a
state-owned telecommunications company, submitted a net fee of
between Rp 20 million (US$2,555) to Rp 23 million per month to
the foundation's caretakers.
"On the other hand, members only received about Rp 300,000 to
Rp 750,000 per month," a representative of the pension fund
members, Soeharto, said on Wednesday.
The executives were also awarded various facilities, such as
"a transportation facility worth Rp 160 million and a production
service fee worth between Rp 70 million and Rp 80 million per
year," Soeharto said.
Members only received the yearly Hari Raya allowance worth Rp
250,000, he added.
Soeharto said their complaints had been confirmed with
Telkom's Pension Fund legal representative, M. Gempita.
"Gempita did not deny the report," he added. (24/edt)
