Ex-Revolutionary Guard Commander Claims Iran Can Kill Trump Inside the White House

A former senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has made an unusual threat against US President Donald Trump, claiming that Iran is capable of killing him, even inside the White House. He even boasted that this could be done easily. “If the goal is to kill Trump, the Islamic Republic (of Iran) can easily do it in the White House,” claimed Hossein Kanani Moghaddam, a former IRGC commander, while speaking to the Iranian news site Fararu. “Whenever necessary, we are capable of doing so,” he said. In addition to threatening Trump, Moghaddam also commented on the negotiations between Tehran and Washington. He assessed that from Iran’s perspective, the negotiations are not aimed at reaching a peace agreement. “We are not negotiating with the Americans for peace. We are negotiating to de-escalate tensions,” Moghaddam said. He added that the talks with the US government are intended to strengthen Iran’s demands and to present Tehran’s position in response to accusations made by Washington. “We are not negotiating for peace with Trump and his criminal advisers. In these negotiations, we are only seeking to restore our rights and clarify the accusations levelled by the United States against us,” Moghaddam stated. “Regarding revenge and retaliatory actions, that remains a real option,” he stressed. Trump has not yet directly responded to Iran’s latest threat. However, last week, Trump issued a harsh threat against Tehran, saying he would “obliterate and annihilate the entire territory of Iran” if the country attempted or succeeded in killing him. “One thousand missiles are ready to launch and are aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more to follow shortly, if the Government of Iran carries out its threat, announced in various corners of the world, to kill, or attempt to kill, the sitting President of the United States, in this case, ME!” Trump asserted in a statement via Truth Social. “Orders have been given, and the US Military is ready, willing, and able, for a period of one year, which may be extended, to obliterate and annihilate the entire territory of Iran,” he said.
