Ex-official's detention suspended
MEDAN, North Sumatra: The North Sumatra Attorney's Office said on
Monday it had suspended the detention of a former head of the
local revenue office, who has been charged with the graft of Rp
545 million.
The 53-year-old suspect, identified only by his initials,

a development project in the Samsat Kelautan area.
Spokesman for the attorney's office A. Jasa Ketaren said that
R.B. was temporarily released on Saturday because the suspect was
due to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
After arriving home from the pilgrimage, he said the suspect
will be detained again at Labuhan Deli police station for further
