Evershine pays dividends

JAKARTA (JP): PT Evershine Tex, a publicly-listed textile
company, has won approval from its shareholders to allocate 52
percent of its net profits in 1995 to a final dividend.

Its net profit increased slightly from Rp 22.3 billion in 1994
to Rp 24.2 billion last year.

The company issued a statement yesterday disclosing that the
total dividend amounts to Rp 12.6 billion (US$5.3 million), with
each share worth Rp 100.

The statement said net sales rose from Rp 136 billion in 1994
to Rp 162 billion last year, of which 80 percent came from the
sales of textiles, and 20 percent from garments.

Evershine's exports last year rose by 32 percent to Rp 58.6
billion, representing 36 percent of its total sales revenue. (alo)
