Even Distribution of Qurban Meat Strengthens Public Nutritional Quality
The momentum of Eid al-Adha serves as a vital means to strengthen social care, togetherness, and mutual cooperation within society. Beyond its spiritual significance, the act of sharing through the distribution of sacrificial animals provides tangible benefits in helping meet the food needs of the community, particularly for vulnerable groups.
In various regions, the distribution of qurban meat contributes to increasing public access to animal protein sources while strengthening social solidarity. Consequently, the sacrificial animal distribution programme is an activity with broad social impact.
In conjunction with the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah celebrations, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) distributed 210 sacrificial animals to communities across various regions in Indonesia through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme. The distribution took place in several areas hosting the company’s projects, as part of an effort to strengthen community relations and provide direct benefits.
Brantas Abipraya’s Corporate Secretary, Dian Sovana, stated that this activity is a form of the company’s social concern in supporting community welfare and reinforcing the values of mutual cooperation. Through the distribution of sacrificial animals reaching various regions, the company hopes to assist the community in meeting nutritious food needs and bringing a warmer festive atmosphere to beneficiary families. The programme is also considered aligned with government efforts to strengthen community welfare and improve nutritional fulfilment at the grassroots level.
Dian emphasised that as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), Brantas Abritraya is committed to providing real benefits to the public through various sustainable social programmes. “Through the distribution of 210 sacrificial animals, Brantas Abipraya hopes this assistance will not only help meet the community’s food needs but also strengthen the sense of brotherhood and the spirit of mutual cooperation. As a BUMN, we believe that the success of development is measured not only by the infrastructure built but also by the benefits directly felt by the people,” she said.
In addition to supporting community welfare, the programme aligns with government policy directions to strengthen food security and the equitable distribution of development benefits across various regions. As part of its corporate social responsibility, this activity also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically regarding poverty alleviation, hunger reduction, the improvement of health and well-being, and the strengthening of partnerships for development.
Moving forward, Brantas Abipraya reaffirmed its role as an agent of development that provides not only high-quality infrastructure but also contributes to improving community welfare through social programmes that deliver real impact.
