JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, together with stakeholders, conducted an evaluation of the policy on restricting the operation of goods transport during the 2026/1447 Hijriah Lebaran transport period. The reason is that during this evaluation, there were still stubborn goods transport vehicles operating during the restriction period, resulting in several road sections becoming congested. Therefore, companies that continue to violate will be subject to administrative sanctions, ranging from warning letters to suspension of operational permits. He added that the restrictions had a significant impact on reducing the volume of vehicles in groups III to V. “There was a reduction of 47.43 percent, from 69,176 vehicles to 36,368 vehicles,” said Aan. The diversion of logistics vehicles was carried out on 17 toll road sections with a total of 51 points, including the Dalam Kota, Jagorawi, JORR Section E, Jakarta–Tangerang, Cipularang, JORR W2U, and Jakarta–Cikampek sections. It also included the Palikanci, Batang–Semarang, Semarang ABC, Semarang–Solo, Solo–Ngawi, Ngawi–Kertosono, Surabaya–Gempol, Gempol–Pandaan, Gempol–Pasuruan, and Pandaan–Malang sections. Nevertheless, based on RFID data at KM 54B on the JORR Section E during the same period, 139 goods transport vehicles with three to five axles were recorded passing through during the restriction period and are indicated to violate the Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) regulations. “Some of the violating companies include PT TMM, PT MTBB, PT KPT, PT LCL, PT MBS, and PT MLB,” he said. If the warnings are not heeded, the government will impose further sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations, including suspension of operational permits. “We hope that logistics companies, vehicle owners, and drivers can comply with these restriction rules to ensure the safety and comfort of the public during the homecoming flow,” said Aan.
