BRUSSELS (Reuter): The European Union imposed yesterday definitive anti-dumping duties on bicycles originating in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, the EU Official Journal said.
"A definitive anti-dumping duty is hereby imposed on imports of bicycles and other cycles (including delivery tricycles), not motorized...originating in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand," the journal said.
Duty rates against such products made in Indonesia are to range from 21.9 percent to 29.1 percent.
Those for Malaysian-origin bicycles range from 23.1 percent to 39.4 percent while Thai-made products will see duties range from 13 to 39.2 percent.
The measure, which replaces a provisional duty regime, came into force on April 13, the journal said.
