Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Route Remains Suspended Until 5 March 2026

Etihad Airways’ flights on the Abu Dhabi route to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until 14:00 UAE time on Thursday, 5 March 2026. Earlier, the airline had indicated the suspension would last only until Wednesday, 4 March 2026.

‘All scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until 14:00 UAE time on Thursday, 5 March,’ the carrier’s official site quoted on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.

Nevertheless, some flights to relocate passengers, carry cargo, and repatriation will continue to operate, in coordination with authorities of the United Arab Emirates.

‘Guests are not allowed to go to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Etihad and advised to do so (to go to the airport).’

Access to the airport will also be restricted for those who do not have confirmed travel documents. The airline urged passengers to check flight status at etihad.com before heading to the airport, and to ensure the contact details recorded in their booking are up to date.

Meanwhile, passengers on all Etihad flights up to 10 March can request refunds via etihad.com/en/help/refund-form or through their travel agents. For customers who booked tickets through travel agencies, they should contact the agent directly. Refund requests should be made using the refund form available on Etihad’s official site.

‘Safety remains our top priority, and services will only operate once all safety criteria have been met,’ the spokesperson said.
