Ethics Hearing for Inactive Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Scheduled for Next Thursday
An ethics hearing for inactive Bima City Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik Putra Kuncoro (DPK) is planned for Thursday (February 19) following his designation as a suspect in alleged drug possession.
National Police Public Relations Division Chief Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir said in Jakarta on Sunday evening that the ethics hearing will be held at the Professional Accountability Bureau under the National Police Professional and Security Division (Divpropam).
“We will provide updates on the results of the ethics hearing for Adj. Sr. Comr. DPK. The hearing will be held at the Professional Accountability Bureau of Divpropam. It is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2026,” he said.
He explained that Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik has been named a suspect and charged under Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 on Criminal Adjustments, and Article 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 on Psychotropic Substances. Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment or up to 20 years in prison and/or a fine of up to Rp 2 billion, as well as up to five years in prison and a fine of up to Rp 200 million.
“Currently, Adj. Sr. Comr. DPK has not been detained by Bareskrim Directorate IV because he is still undergoing special placement by Divpropam in connection with the ethics process that is still ongoing,” Johnny said.
In relation to this case, Bareskrim has formed a joint team consisting of the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate and the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Narcotics Division for further investigation. “All preventive through law enforcement actions taken by the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate constitute a preventive strike as a form of government protection for the Indonesian public, in line with the President’s directives,” he said.
The Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate announced on Friday (February 13) the naming of Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik as a suspect in alleged drug possession. The case unfolded from the arrest of two household assistants belonging to police suspect Brig. IR and his wife, AN, with 30.415 grams of methamphetamine seized as evidence at the couple’s private residence.
From the interrogation conducted by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Narcotics Division, the involvement of Adj. Comr. Malaungi (ML) in the network was uncovered. Subsequent examination by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Professional and Security Division of Adj. Comr. ML returned positive results for amphetamine and methamphetamine. A search of Adj. Comr. ML’s office and official residence then uncovered five packages of methamphetamine weighing 488.496 grams. It was from there that Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik’s involvement was traced.
“Based on statements from Adj. Comr. ML, there is involvement of Adj. Sr. Comr. DPK in this alleged narcotics abuse,” Isir said.
A joint team from the National Police Professional and Security Division’s Internal Affairs Bureau and the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate subsequently conducted a search of Adj. Sr. Comr. DPK’s private residence in Tangerang on Wednesday (February 11). At the location, investigators found 16.3 grams of methamphetamine, 50 ecstasy pills, 19 alprazolam pills, 2 happy five pills, and 5 grams of ketamine.
