The Indonesian National Police’s Professional and Security Division (Divisi Propam) held a Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing against former Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro. The hearing relates to Didik’s possession of narcotics evidence.

“The ethics hearing will be held at the TNCC Building at approximately 09:00 Western Indonesian Time, Thursday 19 February 2026,” said National Police Public Relations Division spokesperson Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters on Thursday (19/2/2026).

However, Trunoyudo did not yet provide details on the composition of the Police Code of Ethics Commission panel that would preside over the hearing.

Previously, National Police Public Relations Division head Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir affirmed that the police force is committed to investigating the case thoroughly. The police will not hesitate to take action against narcotics abuse committed by any of its members.

“The Indonesian National Police once again affirms its commitment to zero tolerance for all forms of narcotics and psychotropic substance abuse, whether committed by members of the public or by internal police personnel,” said Isir at National Police Headquarters on Sunday (15/2/2026).

Isir stated that the police’s efforts serve as proof that there is no safe haven for criminals. He assured that there would be no preferential treatment for officers implicated in drugs cases.

“We guarantee that no special treatment will be given to police officers or their families. Once again, the police leadership has been firm and guarantees that there is no impunity for police personnel involved in narcotics networks,” he said.

Separately, the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) has named Didik as a suspect in an alleged narcotics abuse case. The police are still investigating the extent of Didik’s involvement in the illicit drugs trade.
