EST School Opens in Indramayu, Strengthening Access to International-Standard Education
Equal access to quality education is a key factor in accelerating Indonesia’s human resource development. This commitment is realised through the presence of EST School, an institution that champions international education standards via a strategic collaboration with the Redea Institute in Indramayu Regency.
The establishment of EST School is expected not only to provide a new option for the community to obtain quality education but also to contribute to efforts to accelerate improvements in human resource quality and the Human Development Index (HDI), particularly in Indramayu Regency, which continues to strive to enhance the quality of educational services for its citizens.
The inauguration and introduction of EST School to the public took place during a Gala Dinner at Swiss-Belinn Indramayu on Friday, 10 July 2026. The event was attended by representatives of the Indramayu Regency Government, education figures, the business community, and parents of prospective students.
Embracing the concept of Eco, Socio, Tech, EST School integrates learning based on environmental awareness, the strengthening of social character, and the use of modern technology in the teaching and learning process. With an active learning approach and a curriculum adaptive to global developments, the school aims to produce a generation that is critical, creative, innovative, of strong character, and internationally competitive.
Ahmad Syadeli, Acting Regional Secretary of Indramayu Regency, stressed that education is the primary foundation for building regional progress. He stated that superior human resource quality can only be achieved through quality and sustainable education. He admitted to having a deep passion for the world of education, revealing that during his career as a civil servant, he once considered resigning to dedicate himself fully to the field. For him, education is an inseparable part of his life journey, having been born and raised within an educational environment.
“I was born from education and raised by education. There was even a thought to resign as a civil servant so I could focus more on building the education sector. I believe that education is the best investment for a nation. When we build education, we are essentially building the future of the region, the future of Indonesia, and the future of the generations to come,” he said in a statement on Saturday, 11 July 2026.
