ESQ Corp founder Ary Ginanjar Agustian has declared his commitment to supporting the Mandatory Halal Programme, which will take effect in October 2026. The commitment was made before approximately 6,500 participants at ‘The Amazing You 6 - Unlock Your Power’ training event held at ICE BSD Hall 10, Tangerang, on Saturday (20/6). The pledge coincided with the official inauguration of the ESQ Halal Center by Ahmad Haikal Hasan, Head of the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH). The launch is seen as a step to strengthen the national halal ecosystem and support the implementation of the halal certification policy scheduled for October. Ary expressed appreciation for BPJPH’s grand vision of building a robust and sustainable halal ecosystem in Indonesia. He stated that ESQ is ready to deploy its potential through its alumni network across the country to help socialise the importance of halal certification to the public. ‘BPJPH has a very noble vision, especially with halal certification becoming mandatory starting this October. We are here to support that programme. Our network of 2.5 million alumni who have attended training in person and 2 million online will help socialise and ensure the success of Mandatory Halal in October 2026,’ Ary said in a written statement on Sunday (21/6/2026). Meanwhile, BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan praised ESQ Corp’s initiative in establishing the ESQ Halal Center as an integrated halal ecosystem hub. He noted that the facility is equipped with comprehensive instruments to strengthen the halal industry and services in Indonesia. The ESQ Halal Center already possesses key components in the halal product assurance chain, including a Halal Product Process Assistance Institution (LP3H), a Job Training Institution (LPK) for certifying halal supervisors and auditors, and a primary Halal Inspection Agency (LPH) to serve the certification needs of businesses in Indonesia and globally. ‘The ESQ Halal Center, God willing, will be part of Indonesia’s transformation towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision,’ he said. He explained that halal assistants serve as the front line in helping businesses obtain halal certification, while halal supervisors ensure all production processes comply with halal standards. ESQ has also introduced various training programmes to build halal awareness from an early stage within the community. ‘When this takes root throughout Indonesia, I invite everyone present to become champions of halal. Not a single minute passes without me thinking, O Allah, make me greatly useful for many people,’ he remarked. Haikal stressed that the concept of halal is not only about compliance with religious law but also impacts the quality of life and national development. ‘Indonesia will become a great nation when its food is halal-certified. After that, honesty is maintained, hearts are safeguarded, and ultimately faith is preserved. This is what will lead Indonesia towards a Golden Indonesia,’ he added. The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo Priyono, Head of the National Civil Service Agency Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, BPJPH Deputy for Partnership and Halal Standardisation Abd. Syakur and his staff, retired Police Commissioner General and FKA ESQ Deputy Chairman Nanan Soekarna, along with other FKA ESQ administrators and alumni from various regions.
