Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Pegadaian (Persero) has once again recorded a brilliant achievement in the field of sustainability by winning four simultaneous awards at the Katadata ESG Insight (KESGI) Awards 2026.

The awards were received by the Director of Network and Operations of PT Pegadaian (Persero), Eka Pebriansyah, during the Katadata Sustainability Action for the Future Economy (SAFE) 2026 series held in Jakarta on Thursday (17/9).

Pegadaian successfully secured awards across all assessment categories within the Financial Inclusion Sector, covering overall ESG performance as well as the individual environmental, social, and governance pillars. The awards consist of ESG for the Financial Inclusion Sector, the Environmental Pillar for the Financial Inclusion Sector, the Social Pillar for the Financial Inclusion Sector, and the Governance Pillar for the Financial Inclusion Sector.

Pegadaian’s achievement aligns with the upward trend in its ESG performance over the last five years. According to the KESGI Dashboard, Pegadaian’s ESG score has shown consistent improvement throughout the 2021–2025 period and remains above the average for the Financial Inclusion Sector, with even more visible increases in the last two years.

Eka Pebriansyah stated that this achievement is an appreciation of the consistency of all Pegadaian employees in strengthening the implementation of sustainability principles across various company lines.

“These four awards are an appreciation of the collective work of all Pegadaian personnel. This achievement demonstrates that the efforts we have consistently built are starting to yield results. For us, ESG must become increasingly embedded in how Pegadaian conducts business, serves the community, manages environmental impacts, and maintains corporate governance,” said Eka.

KESGI is an initiative by Katadata Green that provides data, analysis, and independent assessments of the ESG performance of companies in Indonesia. Assessments are conducted sectorally to consider the characteristics and relevant sustainability issues of each industry.

As a company that grows and develops alongside the community, Pegadaian continues to strengthen ESG implementation through the expansion of financial service access, the empowerment of MSMEs and the community, the management of environmental impacts, and the strengthening of corporate governance and risk management.

“We want Pegadaian’s growth to always go hand in hand with impacts that can be felt by the community. Our ‘Serving with All Our Heart’ spirit is realised through increasingly inclusive services and various initiatives that create value for the community, the environment, and all stakeholders. This award serves as an encouragement for us to continue raising those standards,” Eka continued.

During the SAFE 2026 series, Eka also served as a speaker in the session “Growing with Purpose: Business Leadership for Sustainable Impact,” which discussed the role of ESG in driving growth that delivers sustainable impact.

Winning the KESGI Awards 2026 provides momentum for Pegadaian to maintain its ESG performance improvements. Moving forward, Pegadaian will continue to strengthen sustainability implementation as part of its corporate strategy to create inclusive, responsible growth that provides long-term value for the company, the community, and all stakeholders.
