ESDM Sets Biodiesel and Bioethanol Prices for July, Here Are the Details

The Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has officially set the Market Index Price (HIP) for Biofuel (BBN) for biodiesel and bioethanol, effective July 2026. The HIP for bioethanol in July 2026 has been set at Rp10,933 per litre. The bioethanol price calculation uses the formula HIP = (Average KPB Molasses Price over three months x 4.125 kg/L) + US$ 0.25 per litre. The average KPB molasses price used in the calculation for the period 15 December 2025 to 14 June 2026 was recorded at Rp1,568 per kg. The exchange rate conversion uses the average Bank Indonesia middle rate for the period 15 May to 14 June 2026, which was Rp17,853 per US.Meanwhile, theHIPforbiodieselforJuly2026hasbeensetatRp14, 562perlitreplustransportcosts.ThebiodieselHIPcalculationreferstotheformula(AverageKPBCPOPrice + US 85 per ton) x 870 kg/m3 + transport costs. The average price of crude palm oil (CPO) for the KPB period 25 May to 24 June 2026 was Rp15,217 per kg.
