ESDM, Pertamina and BPH Migas Review Energy Reliability Ahead of Eid al-Fitr
Jakarta — PT Pertamina (Persero) through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (BPH Migas), conducted inspections as part of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr task force to ensure the readiness and reliability of energy supply in South Sulawesi ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H on Friday, 13 March.
The inspections were conducted at several strategic energy infrastructure facilities, including the Hasanuddin Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT), Integrated Terminal Makassar, the Patra Trading LPG Filling and Transportation Station (SPPBE), and Petrol Station 74.901.15 Samratulangi.
Through this initiative, Pertamina and the government ensured that all fuel, LPG, and aviation fuel distribution infrastructure in South Sulawesi was ready to serve community needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, whilst maintaining reliable energy supplies in the eastern Indonesia region.
During the inspection, commissioners and directors of Pertamina Patra Niaga and stakeholders directly observed the readiness of energy distribution infrastructure and conducted checks on the quality and quantity of fuel products at petrol stations to ensure products received by the community met established standards.
Mahmud Azhar Lubis, Special Staff to the ESDM Minister for Investment and Economy, stated that the government, together with all energy stakeholders, ensured energy supply readiness for the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
“We from the Ramadan Eid al-Fitr task force from ESDM came to Makassar to monitor the availability of fuel, electricity and LPG to ensure that all infrastructure and supply are secure for the Eid al-Fitr period, when holiday travel and tourism traffic will be very high,” he said.
The ministerial special staff added that field checks indicated energy supplies were in a secure and adequate condition. “We have checked LPG and fuel availability and they are sufficient. We hope consumers feel secure and do not need to stockpile large quantities or engage in panic buying,” Mahmud explained.
Alimuddin Baso, Director of Corporate Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, explained that Pertamina Patra Niaga had established a Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 task force to ensure energy services for the community continue to operate optimally.
“We have established a Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr task force and we ensure that our services during this period will be adequate. We want to ensure people on holiday receive good service,” Alimuddin said.
Alimuddin also highlighted the importance of Integrated Terminal Makassar’s role in eastern Indonesia for supporting national energy distribution, particularly in the Sulawesi region. “Almost 60 per cent of the fuel supply backbone from the east comes from here, especially in Sulawesi,” Alimuddin added.
In addition to ensuring fuel and LPG distribution readiness, Pertamina Patra Niaga also reviewed aviation fuel service readiness at Hasanuddin Aviation Fuel Terminal, as Sultan Hasanuddin Airport is one of the main aviation hubs in eastern Indonesia.
The inspection continued on Saturday, 14 March at Pertamina Petrol Station 74.902.32 Urip Sumoharjo, Makassar, including direct observation of the LPG depot operations located in the petrol station area and greeting customers. This visit was conducted to ensure fuel and LPG distribution for the community continued smoothly, whilst directly reviewing field service ahead of increased public mobility during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
During Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, service at Pertamina petrol stations also received positive responses from Makassar residents. “During my refuelling there were no problems, the service is good. Particularly for Pertamax, there is not much queuing, refuelling is quick,” said Enal at Petrol Station 74.901.15 Samratulangi.
Similar feedback was provided by another customer, Muhammad Fadli, who found the petrol station service friendly and convenient. “I am satisfied with the service, the operators are very friendly. Finding fuel is also very easy,” he said.
Meanwhile, customer at Petrol Station 74.902.32 Urip Sumoharjo, Dewi Astuti, also experienced the convenience of the service provided by Pertamina. “Pertamina provides convenience for us when we refuel. We can pray in a clean place, and the toilets are adequate. Especially now with the holiday travel period approaching Eid al-Fitr, it is very helpful,” she said.
During the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr holiday period, Pertamina Patra Niaga remained on standby with all main facilities and services ready for fuel and LPG supply to the community. If the community requires information about fuel and LPG services, promotions and other information services, the public can contact the Pertamina Contact Centre 135 and download the MyPertamina application.
