Escape route of four acid attackers on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus, then dispersing to Kalibata and Bogor

Jakarta — Four perpetrators who sprayed concentrated acid on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus fled towards Pasar Senen and Jalan Pramuka, Central Jakarta, following the incident on Thursday evening, 12 March 2026.

The perpetrators used two motorcycles whilst attacking the victim on Jalan Salemba 1, specifically at the Jalan Talang intersection in Central Jakarta.

“One motorcycle carrying suspects 1 and 2 fled by driving against traffic on Jalan Salemba towards Pasar Senen,” said Kombes Pol Iman Imanudin, Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Metro Police, during a press conference at Metro Police headquarters on Monday, 16 March 2026.

Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators on a second motorcycle did not change direction and headed towards Jalan Pramuka Sari 2.

“One vehicle carrying suspects 3 and 4 then headed towards Matraman, subsequently monitored via CCTV heading towards the Jatinegara area, then to Jalan Otto Iskandar Dinata in East Jakarta,” he said.

One of the perpetrators changed clothing after the incident. All four suspects subsequently dispersed to areas including Kalibata, Ragunan, and the Bogor region.

“Communication network data shows the perpetrators subsequently dispersed to the Kalibata, Ragunan, and Bogor areas,” he stated.

At the location, two perpetrators riding what is believed to be a Honda Beat motorcycle from model years 2016 to 2021 approached the victim from the opposite direction on Jalan Talang (Talang Bridge).

The first perpetrator, acting as the driver, wore a blue-and-white combination shirt, dark trousers believed to be denim, and a black helmet.

The second perpetrator, seated at the rear, wore a black face covering resembling a buff that covered half the face, a dark blue shirt, and blue trousers rolled up short and believed to be denim.
