Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) has officially launched its International College at the Global Innovation Hub (GIH) in South Jakarta, marking an important milestone in the university’s commitment to advancing globally connected higher education in Indonesia through the ‘Powered by Arizona State University’ initiative. The new campus at the Global Innovation Hub in South Jakarta, which is home to the UEU International College, is Universitas Esa Unggul’s fourth campus. Serving as a premier global education centre in Jakarta, this campus expands access to international learning opportunities whilst supporting Indonesia’s future talent and innovation needs. Designed as a modern urban academic hub, the campus integrates globally aligned curricula, international academic pathways, industry-connected learning experiences, and access to world-class educational resources within an innovation-based environment. Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Arief Kusuma Among Praja, stated that this initiative reflects UEU’s long-term commitment to contributing to national development through the advancement of higher education. ‘Universitas Esa Unggul has a long-term vision to help build the nation through continuous improvement in higher education. Through our collaboration with Cintana Education and Arizona State University, we are making world-class education more accessible in Indonesia,’ Arief said in a written statement on Thursday, 4 June 2026. Founder and Chairman of Cintana Education, Doug Becker, emphasised that this collaboration reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to a globally connected education system that prepares students for the future workforce. ‘Universitas Esa Unggul demonstrates how institutions can combine local strengths with global innovation to create meaningful impact for students,’ Becker stated. Meanwhile, Vice President of Global Academic Initiatives at Arizona State University, Julia Rosen, remarked, ‘This is a significant milestone for UEU and an encouraging step forward for Indonesian higher education.’ Universitas Esa Unggul, supported by Arizona State University, gives students access to curricula and learning content aligned with Arizona State University, which has been ranked number one in Innovation by U.S. News & World Report for 11 consecutive years (2016–2026).
