Ermanto Usman’s Family Seek Protection from LPSK
The family of the late Ermanto Usman (65), who died in an incident described as an alleged robbery at his home in Jatibening, Bekasi, West Java, has submitted a protection request to the Witness and Victims Protection Agency (LPSK). The request was made by the victim’s eldest child, the youngest son, the son’s wife, the family’s lawyer, and the Secretary of Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) on Thursday (5/3). They were accompanied by Rieke Diah Pitaloka, a member of the DPR Commission XIII. LPSK chair Achmadi personally accepted the protection application from Ermanto’s family. He told the applicants that initial coordination with the law enforcement authorities handling the case had already been carried out. He emphasised that such coordination is important to ensure the handling process is conducted properly, professionally, and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
