Ermanto Usman's Family Reports Alleged Premeditated Murder, Accompanied by Dharma Pongrekun

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The family of Ermanto Usman, a retired employee of Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) who died in a robbery case, filed a police report regarding alleged premeditated murder on Wednesday (25/3/2026).

Ermanto’s brother, Dalsaf Usman, visited Metro Jaya Regional Police Headquarters accompanied by a legal team, one of whom was retired Indonesian National Police officer Dharma Pongrekun.

The family believes that the case resulting in Ermanto’s death was not a robbery. The family is convinced that Ermanto was killed intentionally.

According to the family and the legal team, there are many irregularities in this case that have not been uncovered by the investigators from the Subdirectorate of General Criminal Investigations, Directorate of Criminal Investigation, Metro Jaya Regional Police.

One of them is that the investigators reportedly did not examine Dalsaf. However, Ermanto’s brother helped lift the victim’s body into the ambulance after the incident.

“They (the family) are requesting that this case be thoroughly investigated. And the article reported is Article 459 of Law No. 1 of 2023,” said Dharma.

This report was registered under number LP/B/2086/III/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated 25 March 2026.

KOMPAS.com is still attempting to confirm the receipt of this report with the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto. However, as of the writing of this article, Budi has not provided an official response.

Previously reported, Ermanto and his wife, Pasmilawati (60), were allegedly victims of a robbery accompanied by assault that resulted in death on Monday (2/3/2026).

From the investigation conducted, the police stated that initially Sudirman intended to take several valuable items belonging to Ermanto, who lived in Prima Lingkar Asri Housing Complex Block B4 Number 14, Jatibening Village, Pondok Gede Subdistrict, Bekasi City.

However, due to panic upon being caught, Sudirman attacked Ermanto and his wife with a crowbar. Ermanto died, while his wife is in critical condition.

“Due to panic, the suspect then immediately attacked the male victim who had just woken up and was sitting on the bed,” said the Director of General Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Police Commissioner Iman Imanudin, to reporters on Wednesday (11/3/2026).
