Erlangga Farel and Aurelia Kayyla Crowned Mas and Mbak Klaten 2026

The grand final of the Mas and Mbak Klaten 2026 selection was held at Klaten Square on Saturday night (11/7). Erlangga Farel Wahyu Putra, a student from SMK Rota Bayat, was crowned Mas Klaten 2026, whilst Aurelia Kayyla Nadindra, a student at Diponegoro University in Semarang, was named Mbak Klaten 2026. Aurelia was also selected as the favourite Mbak Klaten 2026 during the tourism ambassador competition. The event, which carried the theme ‘Echoes of Heritage’, aims to produce young representatives to promote the region’s tourism, culture, and creative economy. Purwanto, the Acting Head of the Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office of Klaten Regency, stated that tourism ambassadors have a strategic role in promoting the potential of Klaten Regency. He noted that their duties include highlighting the tourism, culture, history, and other leading potentials of the area. This year, 103 participants took part in the selection process, consisting of 39 Mas Klaten candidates and 64 Mbak Klaten candidates, from which 20 finalists were chosen. Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo expressed appreciation for the consistent organisation of the event, which continues to produce accomplished young individuals. He noted that the tourism sector in Klaten is showing positive development, with the regency currently ranked second as a tourism destination in Central Java Province. The Regent hopes the selected ambassadors will become the face of Klaten Regency in promoting its potential at both regional and national levels.
