Erick Thohir Thanks Prabowo for Trust in Transforming Kemenpora

Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Erick Thohir has expressed his gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto for the trust given to him to carry out bureaucratic transformation at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).

Erick said bureaucratic transformation is a directive from the President that is being implemented across all ministries and agencies. Kemenpora is also continuing to make improvements in governance.

“The President is pushing for bureaucratic transformation in all ministries and agencies. Alhamdulillah, we at Kemenpora are also implementing the President’s directive and he has given us the latitude to transform,” Erick said in Jakarta on Wednesday (12/8).

According to Erick, the transformation being carried out by Kemenpora is beginning to show results. One indication is the improvement in performance, which has now reached 83% based on an assessment by the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB).

“It has now reached 83%. Thank you to the Minister of PAN-RB for accompanying us. We will continue to push even though it has already improved significantly,” Erick said.

In addition to the performance improvement, Kemenpora has once again obtained an unqualified opinion (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian/WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

“Alhamdulillah, we met with the BPK and obtained the WTP again, and this is a positive thing,” he explained.

Erick said the performance improvement and the WTP achievement are two indicators of the various improvements that Kemenpora continues to make.

“These two things prove that we are making many improvements and must be transparent,” he concluded.
