Erdogan Accuses Netanyahu of Exploiting Regional Chaos to Erase Palestine from Global Memory
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday (12/8) that the head of the Israeli occupation authority, Benjamin Netanyahu, is seeking to exploit the chaos and new conflicts in the region to remove the Palestinian issue from the international agenda. Earlier that day, Erdogan held talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ankara.
“The goal of the Netanyahu government is to exploit the chaos and new conflicts in the region to remove Palestine from the shared humanitarian agenda,” Erdogan said after the meeting, as quoted by the presidential office.
He added that the Israeli occupiers would not achieve their goal, and that the Palestinian issue would continue to be a priority.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said the actions of the Israeli occupiers in the region are pushing the Middle East towards a religiously charged conflict. Safadi made the remarks at a ministerial meeting attended by Arab and Muslim countries to support Jerusalem and its holy sites.
He also described Netanyahu’s position as a personal view that Pakistan firmly rejects.
