Eradicating Underinvoicing, Danantara CEO: DSI to Use Cross-Ministry Data

Chief Executive Officer of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, has affirmed that PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) will further strengthen data integration across ministries and agencies. Rosan, who also serves as Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM, said the integration enables the government to monitor export activities in greater detail, from the port of origin to pricing and destination country. “We also thank all relevant ministries, because we can draw data from all existing ministries,” Rosan said during a press conference on the 2027 State Budget Plan and Financial Note at the Directorate General of Taxes headquarters in Jakarta on Friday, 14 August 2026. “From the Ministry of Finance, Customs, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Agriculture, and other ministries that we integrate,” he added. Rosan stated that the integration gives the government greater capacity to monitor export flows and values. According to him, various export-related information can now be viewed in a more detailed and connected manner. “So we can monitor from which port, what price, what pricing, what volume, and what destination country,” Rosan said. He explained that one visible development from the system is the narrowing gap between index prices and declared prices. Previously, Rosan continued, there was a gap between the two indicators before the integration through DSI. “Now, thank God, once this is connected we can monitor, we can see that prices are now very closely aligned with index prices,” Rosan said. He acknowledged that the government has data that can be used to identify potential underinvoicing practices in export activities. However, he stressed that the situation now shows improvement after the monitoring and data integration system was strengthened. “So indeed, if it is said there is underinvoicing, we have the data and we can see it, but thank God it has now improved, very much improved,” Rosan said. Going forward, the government will continue to evaluate and monitor export developments for three commodities. In line with President Prabowo’s directive, Rosan confirmed that the scope of monitoring will be expanded to other commodities. “So that we can evaluate, monitor, and also detect all our exports until we can obtain optimal value,” he said.
