Era before Bharata Yudha
Era before Bharata Yudha
From Merdeka
The recent happenings in this country remind me of the story
of the period leading to the Bharata Yudha (war of the Bharatas).
In short, there will be a struggle to enforce truth and justice.
Back then there were two camps, each of which felt it was
right. The Ngastina Pura camp consisted of the government, the
House of Representatives/People's Consultative Assembly (DPR/MPR)
and the Armed Forces (ABRI). The Pandawa camp was assisted by
middleman Prabu Kresno and reinforced by students, youths and the
Ciganjur group. Both camps did not reach an agreement to find the
basic truth.
In the former camp there was Adipati Karno, its war commander,
aided by the Pandita Durna group. In the latter camp there was
Satria Sakti, i.e. R. Arjuna, alias students. Prabu Kresno -- the
historical equivalent of Amien Rais -- who in the people's
opinion had not yet succeeded in showing that the first camp was
entirely in the wrong.
Therefore, I, as a little man, believe that finally the second
will win and Adipati Karno and friends will die in chaos for not
having defended the basic truth. The death of Adipati Karno was
highly deplored because he actually belonged to the second camp,
but since he was brought up from early childhood by the first
camp he had to abandon his goodness and he forgot that he had to
defend the truth.
That is the idea of the little man of the present situation in
this country.
