Equivalent to Rp 6 Billion Per Day, Prudential Syariah Pays Claims of Rp 2.2 Trillion Throughout 2025
Jakarta, VIVA – PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance (Prudential Syariah) reported that throughout 2025, it had paid claims and benefits totalling Rp 2.2 trillion, or the equivalent of Rp 6 billion per day, to participants and affected families facing risks.
President Director of Prudential Syariah, Iskandar Ezzahuddin, stated that this figure reflects the company’s real role in providing peace of mind and financial protection for Indonesian families.
“The company also recorded total gross contributions reaching Rp 4.2 trillion, a 9% growth, as well as new business contributions growing 31% to around Rp 1 trillion, dominating a 22% market share in the industry,” said Iskandar in his statement on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.
He added that this growth reflects the strong trust of Indonesian families in Prudential Syariah as the market leader in sharia life insurance. “Double-digit growth in financial performance throughout 2025 reflects the trust of Indonesian families in Prudential Syariah,” he remarked.
As the market leader in sharia life insurance, he emphasised Prudential Syariah’s commitment to continuously delivering relevant, affordable protection while innovating to enhance services supported by cutting-edge AI technology.
On the management side, the company’s total assets grew 20% to Rp 8 trillion, supported by a portfolio strategy that reflects disciplined business management and directed growth.
Similar growth was evident in total investment assets, which rose 17% to Rp 6 trillion, demonstrating the company’s success in optimally managing participants’ funds.
The strength of Prudential Syariah’s financial foundation is also reflected in its solvency ratio or Risk Based Capital (RBC), which is well above regulatory requirements, with the Company’s Fund RBC at 1,496% and the Tabarru’ Fund RBC at 209%.
This solvency level serves as an indicator of the company’s capacity to fulfil its obligations to all participants in a trustworthy and sustainable manner. Based on an independent survey, Prudential Syariah also ranks Number 1 in Brand Preference and Participant Trust based on recommendations (rNPS).
These achievements are driven by Prudential Syariah’s ability to meet the increasing needs of Indonesian society for sharia-based protection. This is achieved through strengthening a multi-channel distribution strategy, including agency and bancassurance channels, supported by more than 64,000 marketing personnel or Financial Service Consultants (FSCs) spread across Indonesia.
