Equitor gets ISO 9002 award

JAKARTA (JP): Standard Chartered Equitor, a custodial and
clearing division of Standard Chartered Bank, has received ISO
9002 certification

The company said Saturday that the certification was awarded
by SGS Yarsley International Certification Services in
recognition of its quality system and excellence in the provision
of custodial services, including safekeeping, registration,
settlement and corporate actions in Indonesia.

Equitor is the first custodial service provider in Indonesia
to receive ISO 9002 certification, the statement said.

Standard Chartered Equitor has helped shape and support the
development of stock markets in Indonesia through cooperation
with the Capital Market Supervisory Agency, the Jakarta Stock
Exchange and PT Kliring Penjamin Efek Indonesia (KPEI).

The statement said that Equitor had committed to taking a 5
percent stake in the new central depository company PT Kustodian
Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI), which would take over KPEI's role
