Digital transformation in the education sector continues to evolve alongside the increasing need for more interactive, collaborative, and technologically relevant learning methods. Responding to this need, PT Epson Indonesia collaborated with the Education, Youth and Sports Office of the Special Region of Yogyakarta and the Yogyakarta Educational Communication Technology Centre to hold a seminar entitled ‘Building Digital Classrooms Through the Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Interactive Technology’. The event aimed to accelerate the implementation of Smart Classrooms in schools. The activity brought together school principals, vice principals, teachers, and education staff from various schools in Yogyakarta to share insights on utilising digital technology to create more effective, engaging, and student-centred learning experiences. The seminar was officially opened by Drs. Raden Suci Rahmadi, M.I.P., Acting Head of the Educational Communication Technology Centre for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, who emphasised that the use of digital technology is a crucial foundation for improving the quality of education. ‘Educational transformation requires close collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and industry players. Synergy like this is a concrete step towards delivering more innovative learning while preparing the younger generation to face future challenges,’ he stated. As an educational technology partner, Epson Indonesia presented various visual solutions designed to support the transformation of classrooms into more inclusive and effective learning environments. These range from large-screen projectors ensuring learning materials are clearly visible from every corner of the classroom, to the Epson Educart solution facilitating the mobility of learning devices between classes, and interactive Ultra Short Throw projectors allowing teachers and students to interact directly on the screen using digital pens or finger touch. ‘For Epson, a Smart Classroom is not just about bringing technology into the classroom. What is more important is how that technology can create an equal learning experience, where every student can see the material clearly, participate actively, and understand the lessons better. We believe visual technology has an important role in supporting sustainable educational transformation in Indonesia,’ said Zanipar S.A. Siadari, Head of Corporate & Government Sales at PT Epson Indonesia.
