Shanghai, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology, has entered into a strategic partnership with Impact Electrons Siam (IES), one of Southeast Asia’s leading renewable energy developers, to develop the Monsoon Wind Power Project in Laos. This collaboration will expand wind power, solar power, and large-scale energy storage capacities to build Southeast Asia’s largest ‘Future Energy System’—an AI-based energy infrastructure that integrates energy systems with intelligent systems. The project is also expected to significantly increase the region’s integrated clean energy capacity.

The inauguration of this partnership was attended by the Lao Minister of Industry and Commerce, Malaythong Kommasith; Senior Vice President and President of the Asia-Pacific Region for Envision Energy, Edward Hou; and Executive Chairman of Impact Electrons Siam, Peck Khamkanist. This project represents a crucial step in Laos’s transformation from an electricity exporter primarily dependent on hydropower into a more diversified clean energy development hub in Southeast Asia. The initiative is also expected to serve as a benchmark for integrated renewable energy development within ASEAN.

Leveraging global expertise in developing future energy systems and carbon-neutral industrial zones, Envision Energy will introduce an AI-based energy system to support the intelligent coordination and optimisation of wind power, solar power, and energy storage. The green electricity generated by this system will not only meet increasing domestic energy demands but also support the development of next-generation sustainable infrastructure and industries, such as smart cities, green data centres, green mining, and advanced manufacturing. Both parties will also explore the potential use of green hydrogen to enhance energy stability and support the future development of green industrial zones in Laos. This project aims to demonstrate that system integration and intelligent operations can drive the reliability, efficiency, and long-term resilience of renewable energy. Furthermore, the project serves as a replicable model for clean energy development across Southeast Asia.

Envision Energy is actively expanding its presence in Southeast Asia. Previously, Envision partnered with Electricité du Cambodge (EDC) on a 300 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Cambodia. In addition to supporting the operation of that facility, Envision’s AI-based Future Energy System also serves as a ‘digital brain’ for Cambodia’s national power grid under EDC management. Through this technology, Envision provides system intelligence at the grid level, enhancing power supply stability and optimising overall energy management. This move supports Cambodia’s energy transition and encourages the creation of a more integrated and resilient ASEAN energy ecosystem.
